The faculty members of the School pursue diverse research fields such as cluster-randomized trials, survival analysis, statistical modeling, human behavior prediction, indoor localization, facial emotion and human activity recognition as well as clinical data science with national and international collaborators. The diversity of the research areas pursued by our faculty members continue to grow with the quick expansion of the newly formed department. Starting from hardcore theoretical researchers specializing in statistics we have a collective expertise in cutting-edge applicative research in fields like computer vision. The interdisciplinary nature of IISER provides us with an opportunity to explore diverse applications of data science in different fields.
